Things I've learned from online dating

We all start to see patterns in the information coming at us. A few rambles from what I've noticed. If you find these useful, you can use them to make better connections.

First thing I notice is photos. I want to see eyes, face. But not fish, cars, boats, tanks, or motorcycles. Or double chins. When a guy takes a nice photo of himself, it makes a difference. One photo of a face, one in a suit...but I honestly don't get the whole fish thing. LOL

Second thing I look for is profile information. Please, tell me more, more, more. Asking a woman to decide based on a photo is a bit torturous. Our maybe I'm just a high-context person?

And third thing I look at is interests. I want to know if we are going to have anything to talk about after the second date. I look for words like theatre, directors cut, art, pop-ups, and I avoid words like football (ok, that's just me) and fishing.

What do you look for when perusing profiles?

Some day I want to be that little old lady shuffling along, holding hands with her little old man. But not yet. Today, I want to laugh, dance, explore, have long conversations, have hot sex, cuddle on the sofa and watch films with subtitles, cook together
