What does God need with a starship?I live in Northern Minnesota and work as a Paramedic. I also own a shop where I fix band instruments, really. I suppose I should establish my Geek Cred here so let's see. BTW, I believe that a persons interest in pop culture tells alot about them. I like pretty much any incarnation of Trek, Big fan of Dr. Who (especially Tom Baker), was hooked on Babylon 5 and X-Files. I have read a few Star Wars books and am in the middle of Game of Thrones now. I also love anything written by Umberto Eco. I pretty much base my view of the universe on HHGTTG. I can be somewhat of a Sci-Fi snob with movies. I don't equate 2001 with Starship Troopers or Logan's Run with Avatar. Although I was extremely excited to get Space Battleship Yamato DVD a while back. As for music, I spent some time as a music major in college, so I drift toward anything interesting. My CD collection includes: Boston, Dave Brubek, Frank Zappa, Metallica, Green Day, Stan Kenton, Mannheim Steamroller and the Academy of Ancient Music. Extra points to anyone was was excited as I was that the Baltimore Consort put out a Christmas CD. Recently started to take classes again in an attempt to finally finish my Bachelor's degree. |
