Definitely no twin set and pearls for me! Single Mum with late teens at home, I'm more of a heavy rockmetal kinda gal into tattoos, piercings and motorbikes. Having said that, I have found myself mellowing out this year and listening to some Folk music, a little bit of country and I even bought the new Tom Jones album - now I've confessed to this I'm not sure it will be considered an improvement! Caring, empathetic, understanding, patient and determined are words that seem to sum me up. Perhaps I should also add - forgetful, determined and ditzy. Oh, I do have a softer and more alternative side...am a Reiki master in both Tibetan and traditional Usui. Ok, time to add a little more I think... Things I enjoy: reading (read far too much and take advantage of the 2 for 1 offers as often as possible) my son and daughter bought me a kindle for xmas so I'll have to employ a brand new method of book shopping, chilling out with my kids (although this usually involves them joining forces to mercilessly rib their poor old mum), cooking for friends and family, my little niece and nephew - they are so cute and cheeky! diet coke, setting personal goals to work towards, indulging in my guilty pleasure. Please don't assume that I'm a typical pierced and tattooed person (whatever that might be) - my tattoos are usually covered - I will show hints of them at the start of a new school year to garner a bit of 'Miss is cool' type thinking with students new to my classes. My tattoos all have meaning and have been done as a response to various events in my adult life and so are personal to me. But I understand if tattoos aren't your thing - my brother doesn't 'get' tattoos so I'm used to it. Eyes are the first thing that usually attracts me to a person, ability to make me laugh, ramble on about random 'stuff ' and not be too bothered if we just sit and 'be' together. Am now all recovered from a diagnosis that we all dread and have been officially in remission for 18 months now. Remaining positive and learning to look on the lighter side of it has helped me to get through it quicker - the bonus of having had cancer is that I now get free prescriptions for the rest of my life and I intend to take the government for all that I can for years and years to come! ;oP Thanks for reading and I might hear from you soon.
