Hello!! One of my childhood memories would be when I was in grade school. My parents would pull my brother and I out of school for a week. Homework in hand for the week. We left on Labor Day weekend and rode our horses to Fort Madison Iowa. When we would get to our campsite for day. We would have to get our homework done first then get ready to take off the next day. When we would get into Iowa. My dad would always hook my horse up to a lead rope to lead me across the open bridge. Once across we would ride thru drive through at Hardee’s and order lunch. Ride an hour or until we got to Fort Madison Rodeo. Lots of fun memories.
