This is something you people may or may not know ( I'm sure some of you know this ) but if you see "In the region of" on a profile they are probably not American or are from another country. Don't get me wrong I like foreign women but if you say you live in the Dallas region then I know you most likely are NOT from Dallas. Americans do not say these kind of things. Americans do not say we live in the "region of", we say we are from a state or from a city and it is not in our dialect to say "in the region of" however you do hear this from people from other countries.
