I sold my home 4 years ago and bought a condo inside a small, older yacht club. I value experiences over stuff, so wanted to downsize and free myself up to travel more. Living inside a yacht club, I felt I needed to give sailing a chance to better understand why everyone around me loved it so much. I have... and I get it.
I am a mom of four who are all married with families of their own. They all live within an hour's drive of me so I bought my condo to be my home base. My ideal situation would include sailingtraveling for 2-3 months at a time, then returning home for a few weeks to spend time with family.
I am sort of retired now. I am doing some investing, I have a couple of rentals, and for fun I am editing and writing books... which I can do from anywhere.
