I am not Scots, originally from Manchester, I have lived in Scotland for 25 years now. I Would prefer somebody (anybody) reasonably local, of the female persuasion, to go walking with, a bit of shopping or to the cinema. I prefer a quiet gite in France for my holiday, especially around Bastille Day, although I could be persuaded to try somewhere new. I completed the WHW a few years ago, then began the Southern Upland Way at the emergence of Covid. Plan for 2025 is to walk from Holland to France, not as arduous as it sounds.
