If there is one thing that has taken precedence in my life, it would most definitely, without a doubt be longboarding. To me, longboarding is way for me to slow down and take in as much of life as I can. Longboarding, like life, is difficult at first, and I, personally, couldn't give up on it. I had to progress. I learned to pick myself up when I fell, and I most definitely discovered that with a little perseverance and preparation, I could go great distances. Through much experience, I have learned, through the longboarding culture and quality time spent riding and talking with others, that even though not everyone rides the same board or setup, we can all ride and share our experiences together. In longboarding, it is never about how good you can do a particular thing, it's why you do it that gives your discipline purpose. Whether I descend hills at 30+mph or ride on boardwalks near coastlines, I can always find something to appreciate and find value in.
