Length - don't make it too short. One liners generally don't get a response. It's nice to know a little about who you are sending a message to. On the flipside of that is waffling - many people won't read through an essay to find out details! So keep it concise but give enough to drum up some interest.
Details - get your information across directly, let people know how old you are, what you are looking for (and what you aren't!), turn offs and turn ons, your location, and your experience. Many swinging virgins come looking for teachers - if you think you fit the bill, then let them know!
