I was in Malta, in the photos, no tan at the moment, I am a sun lover, I wish I had been born in Malta, it is more English than the UK, we ruled Malta for about 150 years, hence many aspects are the same there, even square pic plugs and driving on the left, which is fantastic. Public transport is good, air conditioned single deck buses, cover virtually the whole island, in Malta you only pay one price, wherever you want to go to and sometimes they let you use the same ticket to return on. It is my alltime favourite destination, only a 2 hour flight from Gatwick, trouble is I genuinely never want to come back to the UK! If I had the werewithall I would up sticks and live there tomorrow, no hesitation Its smaller then the I-o-W, but you would never believe that when you are there, it makes me laugh, because it is smaller than the Isle of Wight, yet it has the 5th best International Airport in Europe. |
