I am 3 days into my vacation from work, and all I have done is sleep. I guess that is understandable when you consider I am awake at 8am everyday, and go to bed at 3:45am. However I believe today is an optimal day to go on an adventure.
There is this chicken place not too far from where I live, that I have been wanting to check out, but never seemed to have the time. Mostly because it isn't open when I get home from work.
There is also a nice park that is close by, and perhaps an afternoon there will brighten my spirits, and give me the motivation to pack for my trip which is in two days.
9 days in a cabin up north. It will be nice to celebrate my birthday this way, last year I got trapped and was thrown a surprise birthday party. the gesture was nice, I just enjoy being alone on my birthdays now.
it will be 6 years since dad died on the 25th. I still miss him very much, even though I never speak about anymore. That's the torment they don't tell you, that feeling of emptiness and how it always exists.
