Did you hear about the study that may have just proven then animals, just like us can fall in love?
Scientist Paul Zak also known as Doctor Love has a keen interest in the 'love hormone' oxytocin and has done many a study into the different ways it affects not only humans but also animals.
He studied a male terrier and male goat at an animal refuge in Arkansas, USA who were practically inseparable and measured their oxytocin levels after they'd been playing together. The dog showed a 48% increase in his oxytocin levels which suggests that he likes the goat very much, whereas the goat had a massive 210% increase of his love hormone which in human equivalence would suggest that someone is in love…Ah how sweet, we hope that his feelings are one day reciprocated by the pup. That would make the oddest yet most heart-warming love story of all time!
