What Makes You Compatible With A Potential Match?

For those of you who are without an other half, National Singles Week is your time to celebrate your singleness! Once it's done and dusted however, are you going to be on a mission to hunt down the man or woman of your dreams? Here's just a couple of things you should look for in a potential match:

Strangely enough, it's been found that political views can have a massive influence on compatibility between two people. One having an opposing opinion on politics from the other may not sound like much of a massive deal breaker but on a deeper level it suggests that they both feel differently about daily issues and subjects such as money, children's education and employment. In the long run this could cause little disagreements if one believes that they're being ripped off by the government whilst the other is fond of the state of the economy. In the hard times, couples will often moan between themselves about their struggles but if they're not on the same page, this venting will more than likely cause annoyance at each other.

Two people on the same intellectual level tend to score high in the compatibility scale. This doesn't necessarily mean having similar IQs however (although this can definitely help) it's simply a case of thinking along the same lines. A self-centred person isn't very likely to get on with a selfless person. If the two people share the same attitudes they have more chance of getting on and the relationship flourishing.

How you feel about kids is a biggie, in fact it's the ultimate. Should one of you want to hear the pitter patter of tiny feet in the next couple of years whilst the other loathes children and has vouched never to reproduce, you got a big problem. This is best cleared up as soon as possible, we're not talking first date conversation material (unless you're brave and confident that they won't freak out). You may be compatible right now but one day in the future if your views on this issue are still different then you won't be compatible then. So nip it in the bud and discuss it before the relationship gets too deep.
