Did you hear about the latest real story in the news of true love? Harry and Mavis Stevenson died within minutes of each of other after 65 years of marriage.
Harry was a WWll veteran who wrote to Mavis twice a day during his service in the war despite being shot in the hand. Following leaving the war and heading back home, him and Mavis decided that they would never be separated again and even when she became very ill and needed to move into a care home he moved in with her.
On November the 3rd Mavis passed away, care home workers left Harry to grieve and when they came back not even 10 minutes later, he was dead. Mavis' health had massively deteriorated in the time leading up to her death but no-one had expected Harry's death, he literally couldn't bear to be without the love of his life. Neither of them had to be alone though, ever since they met one another all those years ago when they were 16 right up until the end. True love right there.
