This sounds like an invitation to boast. I enjoy good company and strive to be someone that people can rely on, I do my best to try to help people where I can, and I am always more than happy to help an animal in need. I love chatting and will talk about almost anything! I think humour is a much needed trait at this time where there is so much negative news about and I like to think I have a great sense of humour. I enjoy eating out, cinema, dancing (let's hope Covid will permit it again. ) theatre and travel among other things. I love exploring new things and I'm always willing to give anything a try at least once! I spent 10 years in Alberta, Canada, where I worked as a Director with the Alberta Government. I loved everything about Canada, where there is so much to do no matter what your age or interest may be. It is real wild west country away from the two main cities, Edmonton and Calgary. A number of the locations were made for shooting major films where many major film stars appeared. I travelled around Canada, including the beauty of British Columbia, which must be one of the best places on the face of the earth, although I admit that I did become very attached to Calgary area, despite a few tough months in the winter. (really fine if you keep to all the health and safety rules the the local people have--and are more than happy to tell you about. Very friendly people. ) Reading about Canada never seems to do it justice. It needs to be experienced. If you are into sports of any kind--Canada is for you. (at any age) Having stopped playing football through serious injury, I was now refereeing, at the highest levels in Canada--at National Level--one step below FIFA. Refereed at National Championships etc. , made many good friends, and even appeared on TV quite often. I was only a bit nervous a bit before the game started, but forgot all about nerves and TV once it started, as I was 100% focussed on the game. Sometimes this could be a bit embarrassing, as I forgot about the cameras, which would be focussed on me during some breaks in play, and I might be caught pulling up my shorts or socks, or scratching my head in the boiling heat. I recommend Canada to anyone, and the cruise from British Columbia up to Alaska is the best cruise of the lot. Much better than any other cruise, according to people who have been on most cruises. Everything is that bit more relaxed in Canada, and you can find restaurants and many diners open 24 hours a day. Most Canadians are also very friendly people. I have seen most countries in Europe, and my favorite is Monaco. I also like Majorca and some parts of Italy. In the UK, for a quick break, I like the West Coast of Scotland--all the way up, and the Lakes District in England. Easy to get to and always enjoyable--even if the weather is not perfect! ! I have had three wonderful small collie dogs over the years, and I really love all animals, both domestic and wild. I have saved the lives of several wounded hedgehogs and other birds. I feel strongly against ALL BLOOD SPORTS, such as hunting deer, foxhunting, grouse shooting etc. I am also apalled by the killing of animals such as elephants for their tusks. Not enough is being done to stop these so-called sports. (not sports in my book. ) I think that we all need to be a bit more kind to one another, and to be less quick to anger, often over relatively minor incidents. That would be a start in making the world a much better and safer place.
