I'm a confident person with loads of desires & wants from life
I'm not out of place in a nice restaurant or a motorway cafe, drinking coffee is a pleasure but made more so with the right environment and company.
Enjoyment for me can be sitting on a hilltop looking over a valley dreaming about whom might of run through it in history or looking over the sea in the med at the bright blue sea and feeling the warm breeze and smell of the sea, or even cuddling up at the weekend with a film chatting and a glass of wine, maybe some popcorn.
I like to chill out and close my eyes and listen to music while thinking about my life and what I'd like to do and reason why I'm doing it all.
Living in another country like Greece is a dream that could come true!

I went through an amicable divorce ten years ago and have been very happily single since.
I like to travel, socialise and eat out.
I work for a company providing statistics which doesn't sound very interesting but it has it's moments. We also do a lot of small surveys such as "Do men prefer girls in bikinis or swimsuits" and "Do ladies prefer men with hairy chests" which is great fun gathering the information. mostly it is statistics for cars, driving and housing.

Read all the information and you miss the person. You miss a loyal (probably naive) guy with a great (albeit wicked) SOH. Women like honesty but I am too honest most of the time, it's my curse. Do I look my age or weight? No, people guess me 2 stone lighter and 10+ years younger and my last partner was 15 years my junior because of this. Currently I have difficulties walking any great distance and with the NHS waiting list being what it is that will continue for now. At my age this probably means not working fully again. I am great face-to-face, not so good via mailmessaging and have often been told off for making too much noise and making people laugh too much at inappropriate times. Can't help it, that's who I am.
Yes, I am a smoker. Started age 11 but gave up at age 28 for 18 years. I started again for a very good reason but someday I will stop again. Just need a good, pertinent reason. I think I have finally found a good reason so this may change to 'trying to quit' shortly, lol!

Assuming I was looking to date, which is debatable but not impossible right now.
I haven't dated anyone older than myself since I was 15, probably due to the fact that people always think I am younger. This is not a hard and fast rule as such and hasn't really done me any favours relationship wise. I have always said the person is more important than the statistics but it does mean someone older than me is less likely to gain my interest to become more than a friend. Still I think I read somewhere that the more effort things require the better they turn out.
When I search I use 40-56 as an age range and I am sure some won't appreciate me expressing a preference but we all have to start somewhere.
I am friends first except under exceptional circumstances but, if I decide to look for more, will decide much sooner than women usually do. If rebuffed it has no effect on the friendship but sometimes women change their minds later. If the friendship becomes too solid I will not risk losing it just for a date, a stance that has earned me a few bad words.
Generally most of my friends are female as I connect better than with most guys. It's an important thing to remember about me as sometimes the women I have dated wish me to discontinue contact with all other women. I don't think that is right.
I have no fear of living alone for long periods and have done so 3 or 4 times now but it would be nice to have someone to share with.
I suppose most men would jump at the chance of a short but fun relationship but I am a little deeper than that. Not to say that I wouldn't necessarily but it would depend on the lady. The term used to be 'making love' and that's how I tend to regard it even now. Love is very important.
