I am 61 years of age but have the attitude of a 40 year old. Easy going,with a can do attitude, most importantly honest and truly loyal. I have not had a serious relationship for 9 years, (a) because I've not found the right lady, (b) probably because one thing I cannot tolerate is a smoker, and most people I know or have met do so. I have quite a few interests, can drive, although presently do not have a car. I no I'm no hunk, but its never stopped me from having female company, I can make good conversation and enjoy company. I truly hate being on my own, so now is the time to get back into the swing of things. My ideal partner would not be a smoker, I prefer long hair all though if your pretty that does not matter, around 5ft 5ins to 6ft, slim but not skinny to medium build, I like a good pair of legs. Someone who likes pets, use to stopping indoors as well has going out maybe for a drink, etc. I am not really interested in foreign holidays, more of a home man although I don't mind travelling in this country once in a while.

Seven years ago when I became single I moved back to my native LancashireGt Manchester. Thanks in some ways to Internet Friendship sites I've gone out and made a lot of new friends These days I help out at organising events at a Social Group on the Internet which can include narrowboating, Restaurants, and visiting interesting places around the UK. I also get to other places like National Trust English Heritage sites which gives me quite a lot of variety in my life thank goodness I only have to work Part Time to fit it all in In the last 7 years since my long term relationship ( 26 years) ended I've been lucky enough to have a few relationships but alas they haven't lasted as long I am capable of both holding down a relationship and being single ( not at the same time lol) As the years pass I guard against getting set in my ways a relationship requires compromises and the ability to make it work through a lot of effort from both parties and I don't think I could ever be criticised for not making the effort when that time arrives. I've had a very full and mostly happy life and I doubt that in future years as I sit on the veranda in my bath chair I shall have any doubt or misgivings over how Ive lived it Career wise I've been a Company Director more than once and these days I've allowed myself the luxury of working whatever pleases or interests me. As an individual I am honest, caring and faithful. I drink ( alcohol) very little but can occasionally be tempted with a Brandy, especially after a pleasant meal with good company. With dealing and meeting the general public over the last 40 years I'm very sociably adept and my friends see me as a solid reliable person in everything I do. I hate arguments and any sort of things that upset the balance in my life and tend to move away from people who need or want this in their daily life. Oh yes, I must point out I'm one of the few people in this life that refuses to be a slave to a mobile phone, when meeting people I do not get the phone out and look out for any messages- I switch mine off before I arrive lol I hope to meet a like minded soul who would like to accompany me on this journey we call life. I used to be a carer when I lived in Ely Cambridgeshire in 2003 . Then in 2006 had an accident on the m6 I was the car driver was hit with a hgv myself and daughter both walked away from that the car was a right off . Now I moved back to wigan in 2011 . I enjoy walking travel holidays reading knitting. Cooking. Love listening to music no matter if it am cleaning cooking the cd player has to be on whether I listen to rock or something soothing all depends on what mood I'm in . I love motor bikes .
