Wishin' on stars while playin' in barsFor one who gets out and entertains people as much as i do, i can't figure out whay it's so hard for me to meet ladies. Maybe i don't stack up to what's in demand these days, maybe i'm too poor, maybe i'm not Brad Pitt, maybe i don't keep up with fashion......who knows. What i do know, however, is my dad installed a sense of pride in who i am and what i'm about. There's nothing wrong with believing in ones self and having confidence, and i try to live by that. I live by a creed though,...if you don't want me, you're not what i need. I'm a simple man with simple needs. I'm no daredevil. i'm nobodies fool. i'm not a jetsetter. I'm not one who can be "made over" by individuals who might tend to want to change me. I am my own person and i kinda like me. Sure i got faults, but don't we all..? Music plays a big part in my life from early childhood. Watching my dad play his fiddle and being amazed that such great sounds could come from his magical hands lead me to follow in his footsteps. I play guitar with two great bands locally. One blues band and one top-40 cover band. Expressing myself with a guitar comes much more nautrally than trying to do it with conversation since words don't come easy for me when i'm in the presence of someone i'd like to meet. Mom says i'm too shy....i spose she's right. I tend to call it my southern gentlmanly charm,...sounds better than shy Other hobbies i like include camping , fishing, walking in the woods and reflecting on nature. I have a soft spot for animals, once rescuing an orphan two day old kitten from certian death who had lost it's mother due to a tragedy. Placing the the kitten in a basket with some warm towels, going to the vets and purchasing a kitten bottle, some milk replacer, early morning feedings, taking her to work with me and bearing the brunt of jokes from the guys and being labeled daddy cat I was gonna give this little kitty the best chance of survival she could get,so help me. Anyway i'm easy goin', and easy to get along with and not easy, but can be had I'm not really out to "meet" anyones requirements but i'm flexible. Everyone says there's someone for everyone.'m here to find out if that theory holds water. |
