Too poor to be born, I was knitted by the Women's Institute and posted through the letter box by the stork when my Mum and Dad weren't looking. I used to be footloose and fancy free... then I got my foot fixed and the three I fancied moved to the other side of town (that joke works better on radio). Now I'm covered in bruises, where over the years, women have been touching me with barge poles. Well, that's my story so far but I’m coming out of the pandemic with a foray into Internet dating... brimming with optimism and a positive attitude. Being single is okay but not all it’s cracked up to be, and definitely not where I thought I’d be at my stage of life. I’m not desperate to rush into a relationship but my heart is a locked treasure trove of love to give to someone who's pretty much like me, in that they don't live in the past, enjoy the present to the full, and plan for an exciting future... except they’d have two X-chromosomes. All she has to do is tap in the right pin number to release it. I’m not seeking a passenger on life’s adventure, rather a co-pilot who’ll help drive and programme the sat nav. With a lifestyle and outlook that's younger than my age might suggest, my two main ‘likes’ are music and the outdoors. Having climbed many a mountain and skied down them, I’m now looking at equally exotic and sunny locations that don’t run the risk of frostbite or altitude sickness.
