Let's talk about Jesus day and night, taking great joy in poring over everything He said and did, wondering over how every word of scripture is about Him, and worshiping Him and singing to Him! Let's joyfully serve God and love Him with every fiber of our being! I know there have to be men here who are like me! I've been a Christian for 39 years, but my spiritual life has exploded over the past four years, and now I love Jesus so much, so completely, that I often cry at the sound of His name. .
I would love to take Bible classes and volunteer for foreign missions work, to make myself as useful to Him as I can during the time I have left. I also feel that He's leading me to write, and I would love a partner. I love singing the great old hymns, Keith Green songs and the songs sung by all the Gaither groups. When the virus crisis is completely over, I plan to have people come to my house to sing them. I've been taking voice lessons in case I need to lead, and collecting hymnals from 1900 to the 1940s.
I've been told I'm a young 60, and I attribute that to the Holy Spirit. I want to find the right man, who wants a wife who loves Jesus and also is a great cook, intelligent (graduate certificate in Geographic Information Systems from Johns Hopkins) and funny and fun (once won an award for humor writing). I will be a loving and devoted partner in the Christian marriage I didn't have the first time. I can be a Proverbs 31 woman in relation to the right man. I love how that talks about her finding all the coolest stuff and bringing it home. Very importantly, I need someone who will love my 15-year-old slightly-verbal autistic son, Cade, who is a sweet and adorable musical savant with almost no negative behaviors, and who also loves the Lord. If I'm in the wrong spirit, he gives me a level look and says, "Jesus."
I've been working on my own portrait of Jesus since May, 2018. I'm going to try to post it. I picture myself in Heaven, still working on it, and Jesus saying, "Aren't you finished with that yet?" When I started working on that picture, I felt compelled to examine the entire history of Christian art in order to see how He had previously been depicted. That led me to eBay auctions and Etsy sale pages, and my collection began. I now have over 200 depictions of Him: busts, figurines, plaques, carvings, engravings, statuary, stained glass, prints, icons, medals, pendants, prayer cards. I have many stunning pieces. I believe the proliferation of images of Him has helped my son learn what worship is. I have some cabinets I haven't yet put in place where I will display some of those items. Many of them are now on my walls, mantel and a counter top. I love to see images of Jesus every time I turn around. I love to be reminded of His love and sacrifice for us. I believe we live our best lives in direct proportion to how close we remain to the cross.
I'm 5'6" with very small bone structure. I'm overweight right now, due primarily to thyroid issues, but I am currently focusing on eating right, exercising and getting back down to my usual size of 6 or 8, so I'll live as long as possible to take care of my son. My extremely curly hair used to be almost black, but after it turned almost completely white, I became my current platinum blonde. I have an unusually great amount of natural collagen in my skin, so it's soft and smooth with few wrinkles.
I'm not overly concerned with a man's looks, I'm concerned primarily about his having a heart for Jesus. That's the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. I have a lot more to say! I want to talk about my favorite scriptures! And I want to know yours.
