I'd like to keep working, trying to make the world a better place, until I die; with occasional breaks for wonderful holidays in fabulous places.. I really enjoy my work and believe I'm pretty good at it. In addition to occasional Interim CEO roles with troubled charities, I specialise in Organisation Development - particularly in Strategic Review and Planning.
It is probably the case that I will only get on with someone who has a great sense of humour, having spent 48 years of my adult life with a husband (who smoked himself to death 4 years ago) who had a very quirky, extraordinary sense of humour, and I miss that hugely.
I am around 5'6' tall (currently significantly overweight too), and wouldn't want a companion who is shorter than me - for indefensible, but real reasons....! I have three children and 4 grandchildren, but only one of those three families lives anywhere near me, so my life with them is probably not as 'involved' as for others whose kidsgrandkids all live nearby.
I am a longstanding active member of my Reform synagogue community - on the 'community' not so much the 'religious' side of synagogue life.
I very much enjoy all genres of music, and in normal times, enjoy singing in the synagogue choir..I have a re-homed ex-racing greyhound - from whom I 'stole' the name I am using on this site! I've never lived without a dog, but these days have to share walking her with a dog walker as I have a long-standing back problem which sadly rather limits my dog walks.
