I value close relationships, my daughters, living in the moment! I'm interested in expanding my knowledge of the world around us. I have many interests centered around the outdoors- love the NW forests, hiking, some birding with a special interest in owls. I make an effort to find them in the wild and enjoy bird photography. I also like being around water, especially kayaking. I'm a mostly amateur artist working mostly in collage, mixed media, a little printmaking. I've experimented with many types of crafts over the years and am also loving the gardening here in OR. Some of my other interests - reading, lots of genre fiction. Enjoy most musical styles and would like to experience more live music. Politically I'm somewhere left of liberal. As a scientist I value covid prevention and regular vaccination.I have a long history of volunteering- with advocacy, education affairs, political campaigns, helping wildlife, and now advocating for people dealing with mental illness.
