I’m… me. Just me. No more, but no less, either. I’m so tired - I think a lot of us are - of being On all the time. Of all the things that Expected of and from us. All the compromises we have to make to “fit in” or be regular enough to count as being “worth it.”
I believe quietsilence doesn’t need to be filled. Maybe because for me, silence isn’t empty. Silence is full of ME - the only time I can really hear myself and let myself go (because I don’t need to be Actively Processing incoming datastimuli). I can just… BE.
That being said, I do enjoy people (albeit generally one on one and away from large crowdsnoise) and the closeness that can be built. I believe in compassion and understanding… and (tactful) Honesty. I like learning - about people and how things (and people!) work.
Some people crave butterflies. I crave what comes AFTER the butterflies - the comfort of the Known, the Safety of consistency.
