Hopelessly optimistic, endlessly curious and hitherto a global nomad for 22 years, I have put aside my Samsonite and my restless spirit and have come to rest beside the sea in Bournemouth though ‘rest’ is the wrong word. Fit and healthy, my lifestyle is active and energetic with daily walking or cycling and kayaking and gardening in the summer. When I do rest I like to read (an extensive library here), write, watch TV films and documentaries and I like to keep my freezer and fridge well stocked with food I’ve cooked and baked. I’m a home-maker, loving the chance to host friends and family. I have a relaxed and gentle manner and a patient and easy-going nature. Probably more than most, I'm coloured by contraries : driven yet laid-back: a people-person yet task-orientated when things have to be done; spiritual (Christian) yet sensual; practical yet intellectual; serious yet ever finding humour in situations and gregarious though shying away from clubs and societies.
