I was in girls scouts for about 8 or 9 years. At first i was very interested because i thought we would go camping a lot. Ive always loved the outdoors but girlscouts more emphasized arts and crafts when i first started but there were also practical skills too. Later on it became about learning leadership skills and they really started pushing the who women in stem careers. Towards the end it was more about getting at least a little bit of social interaction but i didnt develop any friendships. It sucks to think about younger me and feeling lonely and feeling left out of conversations most of the time and just generally being angry for reasons i wasnt fully aware of.
