I live in the north-west highlands by the sea having come here 30 years ago t work for the summer. I forgot to go home and have never regretted it. I'm a bit of a mixed bag. 20 years in the fishing industry didn't do my back much good and neurosurgeons had to step in to keep me walking. Then I started the photography business I'd planned since my youth and studied for at college, which went very well until the banks went belly up and everybody stopped spending money. I have a wee newspaper column in which I opine on whatever happens to be making my blood boil on that particular day. I'm a bit of a political junkie, though strictly non-party - I loathe them all equally. I have two beautiful kids, a girl aged 7 and a boy aged 10. I smoke but don't drink. Keen foodie and love cooking.
