I am an optimistic, young-at-heart man, looking for an upbeat and energetic woman. I would describe myself as funny (I like to tell jokes), loyal, and giving. I treat people with honesty, respect, and empathy. My career (38 years teaching) was important to me, but now I’m retired so is my leisure time. The outdoors has always been my great love with walking and sport being my favourite activities. For exercise and enjoyment, I play football. If my mind and body were sent a memo about getting old, they didn’t get it. Travel has always been important to me (mostly to countries in Europe and North Africa) learning about new cultures and still have several countries on my bucket list. My interests are not all outdoors. I generally prefer classical music and attend concerts whenever I can. I used to sing in choirs (one for forty years). I also like some pop music. Nobody enjoys a good film or theatre play as much as I do. I love cooking and can DIY.
