What I like about Star Trek the most is that people can get together, ignore each other's differences, and work together to help others and solve problems. But I admit I don't own a Starfleet uniform or have any phasers or action figures.
I'm not all Star Trek, I do have other hobbies, photography (I've made a little money there, too), History, and writing - which I admit is Star Trek, I'm working on the 1st of 4 novels that take place during season 6 & 7 or DS9. I do have a plan, a plot, a ship, and characters. The story of the 1st book is finished, I just need to fix some loose ends and send it to a publisher.
I also hold a US Provisional Patent, which I am working to turn into a full patent, that takes up most of my time, and the novel has been on the sidelines for a few months - but if the patent works out, maybe I can retire? ;)
In the photo I am flying a Piper Warrior, I am a Commercial Pilot and Flight Instructor, but no longer work in aviation. I lost interest in being an airline pilot, so there wasn't any other way to make good money, so it was time to find something else.
For Music I love Dream Theater, a progressive heavy metal band that's been around for 30 years - but no one has ever heard of them. They're songs are almost all too long to play on the radio-10 minutes. I don't tune in to any network TV, but watch TV shows on DVD, Star Trek, yes, but right now I'm binge watching Bones, i wanted to see David Boreanaz do something other than be a vampire.
I try to live a relaxed life. I love cats, and I admit I really don't like dogs. I don't have any pets right now.
