Touching sixty (and look it in a sort-of shot-at, ex Army way); no great fan of classical music, ABBA, or rap indeed, though don’t toss and turn at night worried that I should; tolerably fit and healthy including the obligatory it seems over-fifties game knee.
I like company very much; but, very much, only the company I like. Such a declared mindset smacks of arrogance? Not. My preferred term would be self-possessed perhaps, in as much as I am happy enough in my own skin; but not happy enough without a love under it.
