I have a son who is 20 and has recently moved in with me.
I have been single now for some time, through choice and circumstances.
As a person I am kind, considerate, honest, completely open (ask me anything and get an answer, which will be the truth), I am a tactile person so I like hand holding, cuddles and showing affecting.
I am a reasonable competent cook, making a mean lasagne, chilli and my roast spuds are the best (even my mother says so, so it must be true!). I have also been known to bake, from choc chip cookies (crunchy outside. chewy middles) to sponge cakes and more.
Never been one for clubs, too much like an alcohol fuelled meat market, thus the opportunity to meet someone is not really there, hence being on this.
There are a fair few things on my bucket list, I wont go into them but if you want to know ask.
In my leisure time (if I have any) I tend to spend either walking the countryside, trying to tone up (I am no porker by any means just need to tone up and been lazy about doing this until recently). I have been known to play the odd computer game, but these tend to bore me after a short time, much rather have a decent conversation, go for a walk, visit some interesting places, or just have a picnic and watch the world drift by.
I tend to eat most foods, Italian being one of my favourites (no not jut pizza), the only things I wont touch are tomatoes, cucumber and marmite. I am definitely a carnivore, if a meal has none its not really a meal, although I don't mind fish to some extent I don't get sushi even though I have tried it.
Musically, I have tried to learn the guitar, but not sounding like Carlos Santana after 6 months was disheartening so I keep going back to it, one day I will actually learn a tune! I listen to most types of music, it depends on my mood, the only things I don't get are gangsta rap, country and western (both types) and D&B, otherwise if the tunes good, the vocalist in tune I will listen to it.
I tend to watch a huge range of films, from comedy, romcom, through to action and thrillers, but not really into horror I just do not get it (although I do like the old vampire type movies). Some of the films I like: Shawshank, Green Mile, Cast Away, Gran Torino, 6th Sense, Love Actually (yes I know but Colin Firth is fabulous in it and is fairly much a reflection of the person I think I am!).
So what am I looking for: someone who gets me and I them, where words are sometimes just not needed (you know without saying), someone tactile, honest and genuine. If there is a spark there is sure to be fire, be it a cosy one in winter, or outdoors whilst gazing at the world drifting by.
