Prewar (just) old school gentleman born,bred, and educated in Edinburgh where I live alone seeks friendship or more.Lucky enough to have been retired at 54 after fairly a successful and eventful Civil Service career in many parts of the UK since travelled extensively,visiting relatives in Canada and Australia, holidaying in Sri Llanka,Mauritius and many European countries
Played rugby until my sixties and was Club treasurer for more than ten years Visit gym and swim thrice weekly to keep from seizing up but also for conversations.
Read books and newspapers keeping up with current affairs.While have left of centre views not a member of any political party.
Have been involved with genealogy since retired.Always happy to share my research and help others
