I spend too much time: Looking at house renovations, altering recipes and adding to my enormous collection. Foodie, literate, left of centre; so eclectic that if I was a computer I'd be on random access! Opinionated, humourous. Love travelling round places I've never been before; flea markets; food markets: a decently quirky hotel; desert - jeepcamel. Glass of wine with tapas in Spain; The sound of the early morning call to prayer - in India. Drinking Ceylon tea in Sri Lanka. Reading a novel about a country while travelling in that country, like...Midnight's Children riding round Mumbai on the buses. Lying in, skinning up. Most architecture; No sense of direction, but definite sense of self. Does it matter where you are, as long as it's beautiful, with somebody amusing? I've never met an ice cream I don’t like. Gastropubs; Leonard Cohen (still!); Two Tone; Bluegrass; anything by Nile Rodgers; Ibiza House; Thomas Tallis in the morning but Soul Funk woman by evening... I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, chaired by Humph; Womans Hour. Frida Carlho to the Dutch masters. Trying to garden. Putting a new (older) house together. Wordsmiths. More tea. A serious Yoga class; spiritual seeker rather than religious. The courage of honesty and insight. Tactile people. Ankle boots; Brixton market; Sailing - for where it can take you; watching the sun go down with a G&T. Big Bang Theory. Bonfires; Cuddling up on the couch; laughing; touch. Love?
