I'm a Christian Male, and a head of the household type of guy. I'm dependable, honest, faithful, compassionate, respectful, humble and very protective. Just like any normal person I have human faults & frailties, but with God's help I try to keep them in check. I'm also not a smoker a drinker or a druggie, and I don't chew tobacco.
I go to Church at least once a week and read the word every night. I'm not a particularly outdoorsy type of person and spend some of my time and effort working on my house. And when I'm not doing that I prefer to kick back and watch a sci-fi, horror or a comedy on TV, DVD, I also spend time online reading and researching things that interest me.
I spent 15 years building family a home and a marriage, just to have it destroyed for no good reason. I was always honest, respectful and never cheated. I knew my place as a Father and Husband so every decision I made was always in the family's best interest.
My divorce was a shock as I didn't see it coming. I did everything I could to save my family, but it was to no avail. I guess when one spouse doesn't give a reason why, then there's nothing to repair.
My divorce has left me baffled. Seeing so many divorced women in my age bracket on dating sites, has me wondering. How many of them just decided, for whatever reason, they didn't want to be married anymore and weren't willing to put forth the effort to fix that reason?
I don't believe people just fall out of love. There are many things that may cloud love. Part of it comes from the fact that we all change.
But I believe the reasons two people fell in love are still there, for those who care to make the effort to find them again.
My marriage is over and there's no going back. Unfortunately it has left me with the question: Can I find a woman who can truly be there through better or worse and sickness and in health?
