My name is Michael. I am 25 and live next to the zoo in DC. I have been here for 6 months and looking to make friends, maybe something more if I met the right person. I am spiritual, I believe in god, and have knowledge and respect for all faiths but I am not into organized religion. I am liberal and a big fan of civil liberties. My two favorite hobbies are music and film. I teach film to middle school students in the summer. My favorite films this year were Lost in Translation, Kill Bill, and 21 Grams. I listen to Radiohead, Coldplay, Mos Def, Marvin Gaye, PJ Harvey, Elliott Smith, Zwan, Smashing Pumpkins, Jeff Buckley, Ben Harper and a hundred others. I am a writer by education and trade. I just left Capital Hill after a six month fellowship and now I am looking to get back in the classroom. I am well balanced but enjoy to be wild now and then. I play guitar and draw.
