I like to ski, boat, beach, travel, scuba dive, mountain bike. I mostly ridelift for exercise and do the water sports in the summer. I like snow for skiing and cuddling up in front of a fire (big like), but otherwise prefer the sun, warm weather and waves. I like to cook and work with my hands. I love music of all kinds and either have that or NPR on while I work.
Just like Johnny Cash, I've been everywhere man. I steamed the West Pacific, Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf for 4 years (USN) and visited so many beautiful and terrible places. Seen war up close, not fun. I've also travelled a lot around WesternNorthern Europe, the Caribbean and our own beloved USA (I like the coasts). I still love to travel and spent way to much of my time doing it alone in the past. I want to see Venice before it slips into the sea. I want to see Angkor Wat because I find ancient things fascinating.
I'm a very cards face up kind of guy; in my personal life and in business. I know where I want to land on most things and see no point in duplicity. Politics are important to me, but don't rule my life and while I am comfortable debating most issues, I don't want to fight about them with anyone. Open to other perspectives both left and right if well founded.
