I am a university teacher of linguistics at Essex University. I lived abroad for many years in Japan, Malaysia, Korea, Thailand and Poland, working as a teacher. I am interested in history, literature, the environment, I dislike sport, television, anything too commercial. I enjoy travel, hill walking, cooking [specially indian,thaijapanese food]. I am currently taking a research degree in Scottish literature. I love animals.
