I'm a retired teacher, living in York.
I was widowed almost 3 years ago. I have a daughter and 2 lovely twin grand-daughters. I enjoy good company, listening to music, preferably classical or jazz, but others too and reading. I'm fit for my age and go to a local gym 23 times each week. I like the outdoors and travelling. I've always enjoyed trips to France, in particular, where I have some friends, and I like to keep up my French. I quite enjoy cooking , eating and a decent wine or beer. I'm interested in what's happening in the world and politics generally; I'm left-leaning and atheist. I do like animals, but I am, unfortunately, allergic to many of them.
I think I'm a fairly upbeat sort of person and although I can cope with being alone I would much rather live in a loving relationship.
