I am currently finalising my divorce (not my idea!). I have a son of 19 and a daughter of 17. I have “ash blonde” (i.e. silver-grey) hair and blue eyes and am slim, fit and Scandinavian-looking. My short and neat beard is removable on request and by negotiation. I work as an independent consultant in environmental science, in which I have both an MSc and a genuine interest. I have worked in Africa and the Middle East for a total of 12 years. I think I’m intelligent, humorous, kind, tender, imaginative, practical, honest, open, positive, adaptable and extravert. You can have the chance to discover my (ever so few, ha ha) bad points! My interests and hobbies include cycling and cycle touring (in mainland Europe when I have the chance), walking, running, canoeing, sailing and tennis. I own two solo bicycles and a triplet tandem but not a car. I prefer “travel” to “lazy” holidays. I sympathise with vegetarians. I like beer and wine in moderation, and music: classical (Bach to Britten and especially Beethoven), rock, African, Indian, modern jazz, blues etc. I can cook and nearly got a PhD in washing up (ask me how). I am am quite good at DIY.
My female partner should be settled in the UK, can be of any ethnicracialcultural background, and ideally be intelligent, self-confident, kind, honest, sensual, fit, physically attractive (which doesn’t mean an oil painting), adventure-loving, assertive, articulate, usually positive (cheerful), socially responsible and earthy and not be obese, sulky, apathetic, too sentimental, superstitious, too materialistic or intolerant. What a long list! She can also be temperamental, quick-tempered, bossy, sceptical, scatty, eccentric, bi-sexual, cautious and reserved. I’d like a long-term relationship. In the short term I would consider “just” friendship.
