I'm an easy going, thoughtful, and caring lone parent of a 13 year old girl. I've been single for over 11 years bringing up my daughter has been the most important thing in my life but I am now seeking a partner once again. I'm honest, trustworthy, resourceful, compassionate, caring, understanding, not much of a talker (unless amongst good friends) but a good listener, and I'm not afraid to share my feelings. I value honesty and integrity highly - I don't play games with people nor their emotions and am faithful to the end - always have been and always will be. I may be 48 on the outside but I'm mid-20's inside and hate having to conform to age-stereotypes. In common with most UK men, I have very little fashion sense, but my daughter is a good adviser and keeps me in line. I'm also not particularly tall and a bit too round in stature but I'm working on losing the weight I've gained over the years and doing OK. I am known for having a keen sense of humour! I can see the funny side of just about everything and love a good joke. I get on best with those with a happy and smiling disposition - a definite turn-on. I am eternally optimistic and have very little time for those with a negative view of life or who take things too seriously - a definite turn-off! Life is gift to be enjoyed not criticised! I enjoy music, (especially the blues as I play blues harmonica and sing in a band), cinema, theatre, going to concerts, eating out, travel and quiet places. Career-wise, I am a teacher specialising in Science, but I also own my own professional training business. Finally, I am an incurable romantic and would enjoy sharing something very, very special with the right lady.
