At this point I have to state that if you are looking for a ‘James Bond’ type to rescue you from the mountain lair of a criminal mastermind using only devilish guile, charm and extreme skydiving, I may not be the guy for you. Unfortunately I am a hard working professional so this has to remain solely a weekend pursuit. If you are looking for a down to earth, sensitive man to listen to your worries on a workday evening in February, then I might be more suited to your needs.
Hi I’m James, until last year I worked for a multinational defence firm and I am now in the civil aviation sector. Somehow this sits better with my conscience.
I try to keep a sense of balance in my life, I am always looking to broaden my understanding and stretch myself. Get out on my bike, rack up the miles without remembering where I have been and get back feeling centered. I like to push myself physically, though sometimes I just walk the dog.
I love to party as much as the next man, but I am usually at the center of things on a guitar. I don’t take life too seriously, what is the point, I don’t think it is meant to be understood.
Amongst other genres I mainly listen to classical music, I find choral evensong, don't ask me why, very relaxing. You can't beat a Ken or Ric Burns documentary or any on art (Civilisation by Kenneth Clark is the best I have ever seen), history, science or the human condition.
I'm good at:
Math, drawing, being inventive, coming up with 2D ideas and turning them into 3D reality. Cooking, homemade tortellini, Lazio style pizza, baking sourdough loaves. I like to design and make bespoke furniture.

I have a deep affection for trees, but I have yet to understand why they put down roots. Why is it that Jersey Royal Potatoes don't taste like they used to? If we have passed peak oil, will I have to get back into horse riding. Global Cooling, the sun is going quiet on us and Newcastle may soon feel like Moscow, will my Japanese Acer survive this turn of events. The demise of the Euro...lol
