I guess it comes down to chemistry and whether or not you 'click'.
And of course having similar priorities and perspectives are an important element. With that said, I think that it is important that two people differ enough so that they can each bring something different to the table and learn from each other.
Whether it is actual knowledge or simply a different way of looking at things.
Some qualities that are important to me-Sense of humor, honesty, some degree of insight and perception (ie knowing yourself and what you want), integrity.
Intelligence is very important, although I did not list it above because I find that if someone is truly funny, they are nearly always intelligent.
I think a positive outlook is very important because it impacts every everything you do and how you respond to things. Although I must say, in the spirit of complete disclosure, I am a bit cynical. But don't think that the two are mutually exclusive.
I am very direct and upfront. I think there are enough challenges in communicating with other people that I don't need to add another layer.
What do I like to do? Pretty much anything. Definitely like trying new things, going new places. I think of my life style as pretty low key. I don't need to go to the latest clubs or hottest restaurants every night.
I like doing outside stuff, biking, hiking, camping etc. Love to travel and see new places.
