As a young man I lived in The Middle East and later in Kenya where I had two small farms,
the largest being only about 50,000 acres and the smallest, really just a market garden, of a
couple of hundred acres.
I also had a pet lion cub. When later as he grew older
I had to return him to the wild.
Eventually he had his own pride and would bring them to our special place to show them off for my approval !!
I have driven by myself from the Cape of Good Hope to Cairo via The Sahara Desert one way
and spending some time with The Bushmen in the Kalahari Desert and The Water Bushmen in
The Okavango Swamp area on my return.
