I'm an honest and up-front sort of guy, who enjoys to laugh, and who's looking for a similar lady. I'm in my mid to late 40's although people generally think I'm younger. Greying hair is beginning to help me look properly grown up now! I've been divorced for 3 years and initially decided not to date as I wanted to make sure I wasn't carrying old baggage. Choosing a clean break, I now live a respectable distance away from my old life, having based myself in the beautiful Bucks countryside near to my new career which I really enjoy. I mean REALLY enjoy! Better still, my job has me finished and back at home by 4pm, leaving me plenty of time for a life outside of work, a rarity these days. I do meet women at work but it has always been my one golden rule never to mix the two and anyway it's deeply frowned upon to fraternise with the "customers".
I have two sons aged 11 and 12 respectively. They visit on alternate weekends and half the school holidays. My relationship with my ex-wife is cordial enough to work effectively as parents but I will cease contact when my boys are old enough to make their own arrangements with me.
This isn't my first go at online dating either. Unfortunately, my first experience exposed me to a batch of women who, lovely on the surface, turned out to be either dishonest or clinically mad. Sometimes both in fact! Even that experience had positives because I was told (several times) that I scrub up OK and was introduced to Polo Blue aftershave. Undeterred, I am trying again because I know there are genuine gals out there, probably saying exactly the same about some of the guys they've met online. Whilst I'm not in a mad rush, I also have enough common sense to recognise that I am not prepared to spend the rest of my life as a single. Are you?
