I am a family-focused man who is passionate about Jesus and the outdoors. I value relationships above any material things, and raising my two amazing children (now adults) has been the greatest joy of my life. I enjoy simple living, time with family, laughing with friends, volunteering and being active outdoors. I would much rather drink craft beer around a fire, sip wine together on the couch or walk a trail with a special person than go to a party, sporting event or a bar (I'm on the introverted side of the spectrum). I am a building consultant and contractor, watch very little TV, am not a fan of any sports team (so I can be a fan of yours if you have one), and enjoy being up before sunrise. I live in the country on 13 acres west of Des Moines and love the wide open space and wildlife all around my home. While anything is possible, I do not see myself living in the city or suburbs again; I would feel cramped.
