i just walk away.. i go very quiet.... prefer to go some where neutral than say and do things i would regret after.,we need that space and time to cool down.. i found if you say something hurtful things get worse....when i'm happy i enjoy laughing over nice jokes, family stories, happy memories.
I get louder....I will yell at the person I am angry at. Especially if they will not listen to me or are being extremely contrary. I usually have my say and then leave. Most of the time, though, I hold in my anger and try to talk it out with the person at a later time, when we are both calmer. This usually works as long as the other person will listen.
I really don't like to argue, but I know arguments will happen. But I like to use my brain and not my emotions to resolve the argument. Sounds like you are the same
