I love to listen, generally much more than I'll speak. Other people's thoughts and ideas serve as lubricant for the gears in my own mind, and I really enjoy absorbing and synthesizing different peoples' ideas and experiences with my own.
I'm incredibly interested in international security issues, particularly how they change in relation to climate change. I've done a far amount of research on ecological security in the Arctic, and could probably lecture you to depth about mundane things like the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea or Arctic search and rescue. Debating the human condition and literally any part of history, sociology, anthropology, psychology, and IR are things I'm always eager to talk about.
