I grew up in a tiny Cornish village and at my heart being surrounded by trees, sea and nature is what makes me feel at peace.
Fortune has smiled on the work front. I am lucky enough to be in the position that I cannot think of anything I would rather do. I'm a research scientist. I run a lab with scientific instruments (aka fancy toys! ).
I enjoy eating and particularly eating out somewhere nice. Especially when the perfect place just appears serendipitously. I also love to cook, and am keen on expanding my repertoire, but as it's not exactly vast, expanding it is straightforward! My cocktail repertoire, however, benefits from extensive laboratory-based experimentation!
Sport wasn't always a spectacular success at school. Perhaps few can claim to have been disciplined on the rugby field for "gross cowardice". But now sailing and the sea are major passions. Having grown up close to the sea I love being on it, in it, or beside it. I also absolutely love the theatre (watching it).
