Testing my optimism You finally pluck up the nerve to put yourself out there and sign up to a dating site. The days of clubbing are gone where you'd get all dolled up and go and dance the night away and just maybe you'd meet someone. Its very difficult when you reach your 60's to meet anyone for a relationship, hardly likely to meet anyone in starbucks or asda. So, sign up, scroll through, read endless intro's, see a few who take your fancy and throw a wink. Maybe they'll wink back maybe not, maybe they'll send a message, hopefully not the type I seem to have been getting, and you'll strike up a conversation. Sounds easy doesn't it. It's not, it's a minefield, but hey, lets stay optimistic people. There's a lid for every pot, so they say. I'll take a chance and carry on, hopefully I'll find my lid. Who knows, it could be you. Its Friday π Well people it's Friday, start of the weekend and got a fairly quiet one ahead. Had some lovely responses to my diary post and pic yesterday, some not so good but hey, their loss. The lovely ones well, just a pity too far away. Marc Broussard on my playlist playing Home, its hard to type when you're singing along π Few lessons I learned growing up, age 10 always tuck your vest in your knickers it keeps you warm, also tuck your skirt into the bottom of your knickers when you're tossing up the wall, and no that isn't a euphamism π in my teens just because a boy kisses you and touches your knee doesn't mean you'll get pregnant. In my twenties, when a fella buys you a brandy and babycham its not just because he likes you it's usually because he wants to get into your knickers [if only I'd still been wearing a vest].
