As 2015 comes to a close i can look back and consider myself very lucky to have been diagnosed with a form of cancer and come out the other end alive! despite surgery and much discomfort over the past 6-7 months i am overjoyed to still be here.
I'm slowly getting back to health! for once in my life i'm actually enjoying the pain i get from muscles i havent used in quite some time.
Ive been popping in and out of Pof for the last couple of months but not committing myself to any online conversing with any member of the opposite sex, until now. :-)
As a result of my cancer filled summer my attitude towards life has changed completely!! As soon as I am back on my feet and able to carry on living my life then I will grab it with both hands and never look back. I think that has to include looking for a good lady to share it with.
Im a single parent to a teen boy who is independent and doesn't need his Dad watching over him (apart from when i'm being a taxi driver) so that means i have more time on my hands.
I've been single for a while now but its time i found someone to share my free time with!!
Honesty is very important to me and i'm looking for someone who isn't afraid to show their true feelings...
I would prefer to be told something that i didn't like but was the truth instead of being lied to just to keep me happy.
I love to laugh and am the first to laugh at my own expense, I love that quality in others :)
I do of course have a serious side and when its called for i can have intelligent conversations but also be completely silly (isn't that what keeps us young)
I am very easy to talk to and am a great listener. These qualities have made me a few online friends over the years but that is as far as its got. i'm now looking to find someone who i can share those qualities with.
If we start chatting and there is clearly a mutual interest then you will have my 100% attention. I dont believe in chatting to multiple women at the same time...that just confuses things and doesn't feel right.

Ok so I am not very good at this but here goes. I like to dance and meet friends both old and new, I would consider myself to be adventurous and I am a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
I would also like to think that I am kind and generous with my money and life. At the moment I just want to find someone to share my life with and also to share theirs.
I suppose if you were to ask the people closest to me what I am like they would probably say that I am loyal and firery. I am always up for new experiences too.

Hi, I'm Nik, A Coffee drinking, people watcher, ( I really love coffee culture)with a positive outlook on life, an open mind and a big heart. Well travelled and quite well read too I suppose. I have done lots of things in lots of places and have so far, lived! I write for a living. I'm also a 'doorman' at weekends- more of a talker than a fighter and I must be good as I still have a straight nose!! I 'fix' hotels in the week too. Anyway, I love art, I had a studio of my own for a few years (sculpture and stone carving). I like cycling, downhill more than up, haha and going to beaches, especially in winter but any time will do- to look at what the sea washed up that night (is that very weird?) I go to the gym tons and I like, no love roller skating- I'm pretty good at it too, (even trained to play roller derby and thinking of going back again)
I seriously look a lot better in the real than I do in my absolutely unbelievably crappy pics- I promise! (bet they all say that right? haha :) :)

Ok not sure what to write here, so let's see how we go :) My hobbies, photography, gardening and Diy. My taste in music is vocal trance, EDM, pop any thing with a good beat, have been known to listen to a bit of classical. I'm very laid back, calm take things in my stride always looking for a simple solution to problems.
