My aim for 2017 is to find a friend, a male companion to start looking for enjoyable time.After going through 2 difficult years, as a widow the reality suddenly hit me. I am leading a life but not living it. My aim for 2017 is to find a friend, a male companion to start looking for enjoyable time. Going out to the theatre or cinema or concerts, visiting museums or art galleries or Expos, trying different foods and restaurants, travelling in the UK and abroad would be great and even better if that friend would like cruising. I also like quiet days at home doing simple tasks such as cooking, gardening, watching good programmes on the TV or entertaining friends and family. I occasionally support my professional association with voluntary involvement regionally 4 times a year and at the national event once a year. I also undertake audits or assist operationally if asked. Some days I feel my age and just want to put my feet up, and some other days I feel young and ready to walk miles! I appreciate that with a positive frame of mind, health remains decent and life overall happy. Finding someone with similar aim and tastes would be fantastic and with any ‘chemistry’ would be a pleasant bonus. Looking for companionship and friendshipHi, I am a positive and happy person, I have a great bunch of girl friends but no man in my life. I''m not looking for a man to move in, but it would be nice to have a boyfriend, someone who I can text "good night" to, or "how was your day sweetheart"? I've had some knocks in life, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and now live happily in my little bungalow. I laugh at silly jokes, enjoy chatting with friends, socialising, and the great outdoors, sunny days and rainy nights. I should tell you, (as it will obviously put some people off) that 20 years ago I had a stroke which has left me with some mobility issues. I use a walking stick outside and for long distances I need a wheelchair. So if you're looking for someone to go for long hikes with, as much as I'd like to join you, I can't. Also, as a result, I don't drive any more, so it would be nice to meet someone who lives fairly local to me, there's no point in you contacting me if you live hundreds of miles away. If you can see beyond my disability, you’ll find a cheerful, warm and friendly lady, who has a lot of love to give. I am attracted to a good sense of humour and intelligence in a man, one who can make me laugh without tickling me. I value honesty too and am not into mind games or deceit. Is that too much of a big ask? I have a little cat, but she's no great conversationalist, in fact she behaves more like an ungrateful stray than a loving pet. I'm thinking of changing her name from Pixie to Satan, which is probably more fitting to her temperament. (Yes still have the accent) I am house trained and no longer say loudly "Isn't that cute." I do occasionally break tradition by chatting to people on the tube or train. I have a sense of humour (not a requirement of being American but part of the test to become an immigrant here in 1996 when I came over.
